I was complimenting the loyalty of the owners to their Dobes. :) I have yet to see a Dobe dumped in my neighborhood. I find it to be a testament of sorts.
I lurk alot on these threads and don’t always post. I love reading the stories...and it is very evident you are an animal lover.:)
A lot of them get dumped by people who bought a Dobermann pup and then were shocked and surprised when it later acted like an adult Dobermann.
Sometimes they get dumped when the backyard breeder genetic problems crop up and the owners don’t care enough to spend the money to help the dogs.
They’re not a dog for everybody, I confess.
There are tons of Dobe rescue leagues and PetFinder always has pages of them.
You’d have shoot me dead to take mine.
Heck, it was heartbreak enough when I let my rehabbed rescues go to their new families, even though I knew they’d have gloriously happy lives.
