Sanford Police are looking for a vehicle that may have been involved in a Wednesday morning drive-by shooting that injured three people, including a pregnant woman who was grazed by a bullet, officials said.
At least 30 shots were fired at a crowd of people in the yard of a home in the 1400 block of 14th Street about 2:20 a.m. where police found three victims, according to spokesman Sgt. Dave Morgenstern.
Two men and a pregnant woman were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
All the victims were listed in stable condition. The woman, who is one-month pregnant, was grazed, Morgenstern said.
He said the shooter or shooters were inside a silver, gray or gold-looking vehicle, possibly a Toyota or Honda. They possibly attacked with semiautomatic weapons.
One witness, who identified himself as the boyfriend of the female victim, said the gunshots had two distinctly different sounds.
He said he heard what sounded like a explosion followed by a succession of rapid fire pops.
The Sarasota man said he was visiting the home with his girlfriend when the shooting occurred. She had a fragment of the bullet left in her head where it scraped her near the ear.
His cousin was also shot in the hand and abdomen. The other male victim was shot in the leg.
Morgenstern said police have responded to similar incidents in the neighborhood before.

I would guess they are all black.
I know blacks who will not go to Midway after dark. Its a pretty rough area that most of the people who live there are trying to improve. It is not as bad as it was 5 years ago. There are many black on white crimes that do not get the attention that they deserve. I have yet to learn what race this man is who was beaten. Everyone is assuming that he is white and really in that area it could be anyone. Lets wait until all of the facts are out.
