To: Hebrews 11:6

The Bible says the universe had a beginning. Scientific consensus essentially scoffed at this idea until Penzias and Wilson “heard” the echo of the Big Bang.

Though I still like what Einstein said in that, “Science without religion is lame, (and) religion without science is blind.”

The background radiation they discovered to be a relic or remnant of the big bang, and the universe's expansion as shown by Hubble, were indeed determinative.

Einstein wisely understood the light that the two books of creation, nature and the Bible, shine on each other, but he foolishly stumbled over the problem of evil, which nevertheless has ready and fully satisfying explanations. Wisdom doesn't save--rather, faith, in both God's existence and in His goodness, is the sole requirement (see my screen-name and tag-line).
