My #1 son and d-i-l gave me the first four books of "Song of Ice and Fire" for Christmas. I simply devoured them!! Got the fifth book from the library. At some point I'll have to buy a paperback copy of the fifth one so I can have them all and re-read them at my leisure.
Haven't seen the series yet, because we don't have HBO. I might have to wait until our library gets the set on DVD.

I think the theory that Jon Snow is Lyanna Stark’s son from a rape makes the most sense. I think Eddard kept the secret from everyone because he knew if Robert Baratheon found out that Jon was a Targaryen he (Robert) would have him killed.
