Try Tonic water or just plain Seltzer.

It's actually the Co2 that gives DC that throat clearing acidic bite, and seltzer has it in spades.

I agree about the seltzer. My husband ordered a beautiful aluminum charger with CO2 cartidges as a gift for me, and it’s very refreshing.
