So....an Hispanic American kills a ‘Brother’, who was bashing Hispanic/German American Zimmermans head against the sidewalk( and ultimately broke Zimmermans nose), dies when the shooter manages to pull his licensed pistol which the future dead guy was trying to take from him. it goes off killing the hoodie wearing, pants on the ground, thug....and the media pulls out pictures of the dead ‘brother’ from 10 years earlier like he was a sweet baby. and Sharpton and the left make THIS a cause celeb to ban guns?

That depends entirely upon the proposed solution. Restricting Second Ammendment rights would be just plain wrong, and much worse than wrongful death from time to time. Sorry, that is just the plain truth.

Example: An unarmed 250 lb man is trying to forcibly rape an armed 90 lb woman.
Shoot or not shoot, that's the question.

One too many what?!? What about instances of justifiable homicide? Just because an attacker is unarmed doesn't mean that the use of deadly force is one instance too many. It is not better for an attacker to murder an innocent, but armed person, than for an innocent person to use deadly force to stop an attack on his life by an unarmed person.

According to Zimmerman AND WITNESSES, Zimmerman was heading back to his car when he was attacked by Trayvon. Zimmerman was pretty banged up and it was also confirmed that the person yelling help on the 911 call was Zimmerman. I’m not sure what was expected of him. Despite the pictures of Trayvon showing him to be a tiny little middle schooler he was taller and in better shape. Attacking from behind does give him the advantage. I don’t know how I would react but if someone was pounding my head into the pavement (also verified by witnesses), I might shoot, too.
