I see it this way. Rick should not respond other than to say he will wait for all the info to come out. That said, this Zimmerman fellow should have called 911 to report suspicious activity and left it at that.
Sit in your car, if you see something suspicious, call 911. He went out of the norm for something like this.
Zimmerman probably didn’t intend this outcome, he may have even been attacked by this guy, but he could have avoided it all because there was no need to go so far.
This is where he will get convicted, because he went above and beyond the call of Neighborhood Watch.
If this guy attacked him while sitting in his car, Zimmerman had every right to protect himself, but if he was following the guy to the point of getting out of his car...well..
“That said, this Zimmerman fellow should have called 911 to report suspicious activity and left it at that.”
I agree he should have.
“Zimmerman probably didnt intend this outcome, he may have even been attacked by this guy, but he could have avoided it all because there was no need to go so far.”
Is Zimmerman guilty because he set in motion a chain of events that resulted in a death even though he may have been defending himself at the time?
“If this guy attacked him while sitting in his car, Zimmerman had every right to protect himself, but if he was following the guy to the point of getting out of his car...well..”
If Zimmerman left his car, and was attacked while returning to it he has every right to defend himself.
...well..what?
Convicted of what?
Let’s see, I supposes if a private detective every follows me for any reason, and I see him following me, I am then entitled to assault him.
Gotcha.
