At eight, I didn't have the slightest clue what sex was; even when I did learn a few years later, it took me yet a few more years to understand why anyone would want to do that!
The teacher may not have been observing closely, but unless she taught them how to do it and told them to go practice, I wouldn't call it a firing offense.
On the other hand, I'd like to know why the school officials who decided to give the kids "counseling" rather than calling CPS weren't fired.
How did the 8-year-olds know anything about sex, particularly oral sex? Acting out sexual activity in a prepubescent child to me screams "warning sign, possible sexual abuse."
If a child that age needs an explanation of where babies come from, it's possible to give one that is factually accurate but not terribly explicit- most kids that age just aren't that interested anyway. Oral sex, however, in my way of thinking, has no business being in their known universe.

Strong probability is that they (or their peers) got into some online porn; word gets around quickly in that age group.
