All the rifles mentioned are excellent. However before we can make a recommendation he must define range and accuracy that is needed. An SKS with a thirty round clip is deadly but its accuracy at longer ranges is lacking. At a 100 meters it will ruin you whole day.
A Remington 700 chambered for .270 or 30:06 will reach to 300 yards if you have a decent scope on it. 100 yards every time, 200 yards most of the time, 300 yards if you are good, have match ammo, and can read the wind correctly. After 300 yards it gets very damn iffy.

An SKS with a thirty round clip is deadly but its accuracy at longer ranges is lacking. At a 100 meters it will ruin you whole day. Accuracy varies. A friend of mine had an SKS that was very accurate. I saw him shoot a 1 1/2 inch group at a hundred yards. Using iron sights. (Yes, he's a very good shot). A lot of the problem with AKs and SKSs comes from the crummy sights.
