A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire last week while walking home from school is recovering from first-degree burns to his face and head . . . "We were told it's a hate crime," Coon told KTLA.

It was attempted first degree murder - they were carrying gasoline because they planned to set someone on fire - an adult crime. Granted, the thugs were incompetent would be killers, but it's still attempted murder. The only appropriate punishment is life with no possibility of parole. Why would anyone care whether it was a "hate crime" too? It's a crime that requires permanently giving up on the criminals for the safety of decent members of society. Whether they were also committing a "hate crime", jay walking, or violating the Clean Air Act is totally irrelevant.

We’ll probably never hear about the final disposition of this case but you know we’ll be hearing about George Zimmerman’s final disposition. They gotta make a point, that’s what lynchings are all about ya know.
