If it was my IP, they would have showed up at my home, where I posted the info from. Instead, they showed up at my place of business, where I was just an employee. I assume that somehow they got my IP, then my name, then used SSN records to find out where I worked. The whole time, it was right there in front of them because I had called all that in. The guys who came down were from Jacksonville, and they had no information at all about the report I’d made to the Orlando office.
Actually, now that I read through the thread from 2004, it appears maybe it was the IP and then my ISP probably provided a name and phone number. The Sect Service guy then called me, and I may have given him my employer information in that first call. I don’t remember every detail anymore. It was just a weird situation.
