I’m a big proponent of what I like to call “Selective Bravery.”
There are things I will do and have done that the average person would pale at.
Jumping out of aircraft is ~not~ one of them.
But you have never had the pleasure of standing in the door of a creaky C-119 with an angry E-6 up your ass, threatening to kick your butt from Fr. Benning to Ft. Bliss if you refuse at the door!
Ah, the pleasures of Army life......
