Leopards are not rare, this is another anti-hunting myth. Many countries have too many Leopards and there are well regulated quotas under CITES for hunting Leopards in those particular coutries.

It’s a cuteness factor thing. Nobody gives a rat’s about a water buffalo or croc, they’re ugly. Probably reminds them of their kitty at home.
