Mormons use the same ritual as the Masons also.
Beck’s Mormonism has taken over his life. Did “they” get to him? or was it the plan all along?
I’m beginning to think GB’s been in-the-tank for Mittens, all along, and that his “show” for Sen Santorum, was just that: a show. I could be wrong. Open other to opinions...
I don’t really care about the Masonic and/or Mormon parallels, I just think Romney is an unprincipled liberal RINO asshole, and so is Beck who is carrying Romney’s water for him.
Recent? From what I remember, Beck went to the Vatican in 2010.

I have thought so too. I also have thought he wanted to hide his love for Mitt so he could somehow show that Mormons support people besides another Mormon, but I don’t trust Beck in the least. Not since he went off on his religio-patriotic tangent a few years back. There is something deeply unsettling about the man and his rantings. I don’t know enough about Mormonism to know if he is preaching it secretly, but my guts tells me he is.
I have been saying that since this election cycle started.
Glenn Beck: A lying lightweight copyist of others. A showboat crybaby who thinks he has had us fooled about his true intentions and convictions. No Mormon is a conservative when it comes to the Romney obeisance coming down from Monson and the brethren.
His religio-patriotic tagent was hollow at best. The LDS inc he now porfesses is founded upon the assertion that ALL of Christianity was in total apostacy until Joe Smith in the early 1800s re-established true chrsitianity. This means that the same founders Beck has praised as Christian men of principles were by his religion’s assertion apostates. But I’m sure good Mormons have since been baptised for these same flawed founders. It’s a proxy system don’tchaknow.
I don’t know enough about Mormonism to know if he is preaching it secretly, but my guts tells me he is.

Oh yeah he is big time. He uses Mormon catch phrases, Mormon definitions of words that sound Christian, pimps Mormon authors as just general conservatives (Cleon Skousen), and outright spouts Mormon lies about Christian history (like the Dead Sea Scrolls fiasco).
For those of us who know Mormonism, he is abusing his position in preaching Mormonism and passing it off as Christianity.

But since the campaign started he's clearly put Mormonism over conservatism. It's the only way I can explain why he would back Romney.
It breaks my heart to say it, but I think it’s the same way with Rush. He did a lot of heavy lifting to boost Santorum and sideline Newt right when Romney and Drudge were trashing him. Rush has ignored Newt lately, but I expect the anti-Newt rhetoric to pick up big time if Newt does as well as I think he will in AL and MS. The goal is NOT Santorum, it’s Romney.
Of course Beck has supported Bishop Romney all along. The LDS is a highly political church, and their prophecies say that they will rule the nation. Romney is their Golden Prince.
If Beck pretended to support Santorum, it was probably because at the time Newt looked like the more dangerous threat to Mittens. But now that Rick is running ahead of Newt, Beck is saying, “I support Santorum, but.” I think we all know what that means. He doesn’t support him at all, and never has.
I’d agree with both of you: he “went off the tracks”, a few years ago. I used to listen/watch him; now, I can’t do either.
I’m having a hard time getting my head around the possibility that Rush wants Mittens to win the nomination; he’s a sure loser to Obummer. But, I’ll “vote for an orange juice can over Obummer, anyday”. (Paraphrasing mark Levin...)
I don’t get many listening options during the day at work (AM reception and dense buildings) but GB HAS been for Mitt all year.
The radio schedules have been shuffled around so I don’t hear Beck as much these days so I don’t know what else except subterfuge could account for his ‘endorsement’.
