That's good to know. I would assume from your description that anyone off the street could walk into the “temple” in SLC and worship the one true God whose seat is in Israel. Do mormons try to convert Jews in Israel? Is there a missionary plan for this at work?
There are requirements to be able to participate in Temple Worship, but anyone who follows those requirements can attend the temple.
My Wife and I attended a session in the Salt Lake Temple last week.
The Church has BYU studies in Israel, but does not have a Missionary effort there. The Church does not Proselytize in Israel at this time.
