It may also be in danger of tipping over if too many more people move there. Hank Johnson should warn them of the danger.

This is so funny. They keep thinking if they pretend it seriously enough,, that it will be true. THE KING HAS NO CLOTHES!
NO islands are sinking!! And if they were,, wouldnt we notice it along ALL the beaches??

Rising sea levels blamed on global warming are threatening to cover the island.
The article doesn't want to explain the levels of sea rise? Of course not.

I remember that episode.
Turns out, Gilligan had been moving The Professor's ocean level stick to deeper water to tie down his crab/lobster pot.
The island wasn't sinking after all.

Come on up! There’s plenty of room in the hills of Fiji.

If by some chance those islands are sinking, it is more likely from settling of the extinct volcanic foundation the island is built on. It happens. They live in a dangerous place and should move regardless of climate change or whales passing gas and creating waves.

This is all theater to get money somehow, like when the Maldives cabinet convened underwater to show the world what it will be like when their island goes underwater. They are just angling for a piece of the global warming action.

Maybe they are afraid that their island might tip? A politician, by the name of Jefferson, I think, said something of that nature a few years ago, correct?
That's how they can say such outrageous things. They are stand up comics!

Rising sea levels blamed on global warming are threatening to cover the island.I'm starting to thjink my science teachers were flat wrong - water cannot possible seek its own level. Lived on the MS Gulf Coast since '86 and have yet to see evidence of rising sea levels. Maybe it only happens where it will hurt women, children, minorities, and future Fijians most.
