I always thought J. McCain threw the election and only ran to make sure either Hillary or Obama would win. A bigger shock to me was that the GOP did nominate Crazy McCain, a sure loser.

I'll go a step in paranoia further...McCain and his media minions ensured he would be the candidate....against all others...including Romney,Rudy,Thompson, etc...

they manipulated the primaries, worked on getting horrible huckabee to be a third wheel to divide and conquer....

McCain was a placeholder, nothing more.....he makes me so sick to look at him....

Palin was the only decent one last election...

Sarah Palin’s numbers were going up and taking McLame’s with them. There was something like an 8% lead over Obama in September.

Then McLame “suspended” his campaign and the bottom fell out.

Palin could have dragged him to the winner’s circle kicking and screaming but he muzzled her.
