My wife and I have cats and dogs,Our German Shepherds get along just fine with the cats.I think that the key to success with dogs is training and also temperment.We also have 7 horses,who get along fine with the cats,but don’t think much of the dogs.A couple of the mares would love to kill the dogs if they got a chance.
My daughter had a couple of ducks that all the cats were terrified of...the horses didn’t much care for the ducks, but when one of the horses had to go to U of M for a major problem, the remaining horse let the ducks in the arena...She was lonesome and cozy up to them...it was funny, she needed some friends and would follow them around when they came into her area.....
