AP uses “she” and “her” to talk about the person, but the article never says the person had a sex change operation to physically change sex.

It may be more accurate to say this person is a cross-dressing homosexual who is properly referred to as “he” and “him” if there never was a sex-change operation.

I read this earlier, but failed to notice the way AP continually refers to this guy as “she.” Even after his friend was murdered by soldiers, and he packed up all his girly clothes and got rid of them.
