Basketball star taking on "Amos the Wonder Horse" at AAA

A horse that shoots hoops is taking on a Harlem Globetrotters' star in Miami Monday in a game or H.O.R.S.E. for charity.

The Globetrotters’ Buckets Blakes will be taking on "Amos the Wonder Horse" at the AmericanAirlines Arena Monday afternoon.

The two will be playing with children from the American Heart Hereos, a group that works with children born with congenital heart disease.

Buckets will give the children a sneak peek of the Globetrotters game that will be held March 10 at the Arena and give an honorary award to Amos, an “Ambassador of Goodwill,” for his work as a therapeutic horse in South Florida.

The American Heart Heroes is a special program of the American Heart Association that helps build and support the confidences of the youth and their families affected by the hereditary disease.

The Harlem Globetrotters are one of the few times professional basketball is family friendly and there are actual decent role models on the floor.

My kids always enjoyed the show, and the things they do require amazing athleticism. They are truely enjoyable.

Many years ago I had the privilege to attend a Harlem Globetrotter game (in Albuquerque, NM). It was wonderful!!! For me it was one of the most fun, stunning, remarkable evenings ever.

You are missing something big and entertaining in your dull lives if some evening you don’t attend a Harlem Globetrotter game when it is near your city or town. And I live in Panama, and I attended the game in Albuquerque. How many miles away was that?

One does not have to be a basketball fan to enjoy it. It is such a fun time and a billiant fun show.

Every word you said is true. I can’t add anything to what you stated. You said it all.

You don’t hear anything negative about the Globetrotters players.
