If that @$$wipe Romney wins, it’s probably because Newt and Rick both ran, thus splitting the conservative vote. What should have been done, is that all the conservatives got together, and picked the best one of their number to run alone.
And, just who makes the decision who the best conservative candidate is? They all claim to be the best, so for one to drop out in favor of another would be admitting that he isn’t the best conservative for the job. This isn’t the reason any of them ran for office in the first place. There is too much ego on display for any of them to admit that their opponent is the better conservative. Think about it!

I have long proposed that the year or so before the elections that the conservatives should have formed a party-within-a-party and hold their own conventions across the country to determine who our candidate should be.
Then we all get behind that candidate before the primaries ever start.
That is exactly what we are doing right now. How could we have chosen from among all of the declared candidates except through months of campaigning and voting?
Let's wait until after Tuesday, look at the delegate totals, and then see where we are at before throwing in the towel.
