Hi, f,
The squish went fine. We used diversion on me (Lowe’s to fiddle around in the hardware dept., Wal Mart to get the moist cat food that the cats like, and then grocery shopping. There were ripe bananas on sale, and I had made a peanut butter pound cake but left the chocolate ganache off the top. Therefore, the cake floated before my eyes in a lovely vision slathered with Nutella and a layer of sliced banana on top. Mr. Sg has eaten four of the six bananas, so I might wind up having dessert for breakfast.
Cake and Nutella are on the buffet table.
My pleasure! Help yourself to some cake.
Fine, thanks! Are you holding off items like peanut butter to avoid sparking digestive disturbances or allergic phenomena in K? If so, I can make a different type. Not familiar with lemon (gotta make everything from scratch—they take mixes off the market as soon as you become attached to them.)
I’m not much of a peanut-butter eater, and we won’t be feeding things like cake to the baby until she has teeth! Age of dentition ranges from 7 months (Tom and Vlad) to 15 months (James). None of the children has known food allergies except Anoreth’s to lobster and mangoes ... and the mangoes are actually poisonous, anyway.
It’s possible that the other children are allergic to lobster, too, but they haven’t had any.
Mornin!
Why, thank you!
I saw your Ford F-250 today. It was hauling a ton of gravel. And to coin a phrase, it was a bloody heavy load but the truck was unbowed.
I've hauled a half-ton out of that place in my old Dodge, and it was groaning with the effort.
Made me go "Hmmm". And I don't even have a boat.
I don’t have a boat or a ton of gravel. Talk about a wasted life ...
With YOUR family, only an ark would suffice : )
“Happy Birthday Mr. HKMk23!”
Man....I wish I were only 39!!
Take your vitamins, youngster.
I will be 58 on March 23......I need more than vitamins : )
Howdy.
I wrote a cautionary tale about the "more than vitamins" route. Better pay attention, if you don't want to end up the victim in a Japanese cult film.
“Better pay attention, if you don’t want to end up the victim in a Japanese cult film. “
Better than being the victim of a Communist Muslim Dictator
cult film : )
Ugh. What an ugly day for my son and his family to come in. They still want to go to St. George tonight, but I’m afraid that Slot Canyon is going to be very icy. It doesn’t take much in this weather!
HK...Happy Very Late Birthday! I didn’t mean to ignore you!
There was a St. Paddy’s Day parade here in Hooterville, and I can’t recall EVER seeing so much traffic!!! LOL! I even had to use the crosswalk!
More fun, too. At least in that scenario, the rules of Thermodynamics apply:
You can’t win.
You can’t break even.
You can’t get out of the game.
.
So have fun.
Lisa Douglas: Hootasville?
You know...Hooterville Junction? Or maybe that was Petticoat Junction? GAAAAAHHHH!
Ahwell. This area is so laid back for so much of the time it may as well be in another universe.
Who’s 39?
We went to the “kite festival” in Lake Park (where we use the pool) earlier today. The winds were light, so kite-flying was episodic, but it’s a beautiful sunny day and everyone was out to enjoy it. The Swim Team Boosters were selling hot dogs and snacks. Tom and Elen helped a bit, but they had so many adult volunteers hanging out that they really didn’t need the kids.
I signed up to work the primary for a State Representative candidate. We’ve been redistricted away from our current rep, and the Democrat incumbent of the new district didn’t file for reelection, so there’s no Democrat (not unusual in this area!). Both Republicans running are okay choices, but one’s a normal guy and one’s a Colossal Noodle, and I think the normal guy will do better in Raleigh. I worked for the Noodle when he ran for County Commissioner, because the other choices were crooks.
