Another thing I ponder is that why God made us to waste a third of our life sleeping. Why not a tenth or at least a quarter? Slower metabolism or something.

The day of rest actually proves creation was 6 literal days.
If days were symbolic for epochs - then...He’d still be resting. (I know some present this argument, that God is still resting, but obviously, with all that’s happened since - including the short life of his Son...I aint buying)
What is the ‘purpose’ of His resting? Sounds like a (massive) bible study on the Sabbath would provide some answers I’m thinking :)
Why sleep?
The science of sleep is incredibly interesting, with many of the researchers agreeing that we’ll never really understand it.
With that being said, I think we sleep because God designed it as our “daily” reminder of impending death. Death being the wages of sin, and all.
