Indoctrination of our kids.
I remember watching a cartoon version of this when I was a kid and getting all sad about all the trees getting cut down.
I kept thinking “where did all the seeds go”?? Mr. Seuss conveniently forgot to address this in his story.
When one of my little kids saw me cut down a tree two years ago, he was all upset and thought I was going to cut down all the trees. I explained to him what I was doing and that we would use the wood to heat the house.
Now, he thinks it is cool when I cut down a big one. :-)
