I’m going to be attacked for this, but I really hope they have more evidence than this “faked” birth certificate powerpoint.

If you google OCR software, there are literally hundreds of different ways to apply it, what with the different software packages that can be used, and the various settings that can be applied. The same goes for optimization. They make it sound like there’s only one way of applying OCR and optimization, and because they didn’t get the same results when they tested it using their software and options, it “proves” that it’s a forgery? I thought only libs faked experimental data to get the result they wanted.

We do not have a single document the proves Mr. Obama’s birth in Hawaii or anywhere else in the United States. We have to see some more information. We would like to see hospital records. We would like to see microfilm. A single roll of microfilm is not enough. It needs to be age tested. We’d like to see documentation Hawaii has. We advise this should be a full-blown criminal investigation. A crime has been committee in Maricopa County and Arizona.

Exactly.

There would be no point in forging either the short or the long form, since the State of Hawaii has the original, and a forgery would thus fail a simple comparison. Indeed, in a high-profile case such as this one, you would expect the State of Hawaii to cry foul if the documents released by Obama were fake.

The only part of the Sheriff's case that has any promise is if he can show it's an inside job, that somebody within the Hawaii government has been covering up for Obama all along. E.g., they forged it for him. Or they know the original has evidence of forgery and are therefore stonewalling to prevent its release.

If the State of Hawaii is engaging in a coverup, there must be a reason. Hopefully, it will embarrass the President and not the Sheriff and his fans (which it most surely will if his case proves to be unfounded).

Of course, to win the natural born case, you'd have to show Stanley Ann was not his mother, and he was born abroad. If Stanley Ann was his mother, then he was a citizen from birth and thus natural born, even if born in Mombasa. The age requirement then in effect only applied to married women, and Stanley Ann could not have been married to BHO, Sr., since he was already married at the time he 'married' her. So, little bastard Barry skates on NBC.

I'm going to have to agree with you here.

Yes. But I am glad they at least went beyond the "layers" theory. When the BC was released I compared with a pdf scan of my own opened in Illustrator and saw the same layer effect including the automatic naming.

After a lot more personal examination, where I ended up, was that I was certain that this was a composite file. It was not the result of a scan of a single document.

Now the composite could be innocent. They could have scanned a B&W document and combined it with a green safety background. They could have even recreated valid information into a file that the Hawaii officials then deemed 'official'.

If I were to limit it to what I think is true I would just say: this is not the result of only making a picture or scan of one document or page. Forgery goes to intent; where is this bar shown to be crossed?

The smartest thing the sheriff did, IMHO, is say: "show me the microfilm." He made the point that this electronic file is not enough to prove birth; more is needed. Perhaps "forgery" is the way to make this point seriously. I dunno.
