I suspect that at 43 he had a substantial mortgage on his property and if he bought the house more than 5 years ago, then his family is probably upside down by several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The poster is not asking for charity for the family, only that those who respect the work of Mr. Breitbart might take the opportunity to purchase a book that will be a benefit to themselves.

I’ll actually do that if you ask me, since I have nothing else better to do. That’s assuming, of course, that I anticipated your paranoia and decided to wait to purchase the books, or I just setup a different account.
