Hi, Lori! Yes, I’m still at my son’s in CA. I hope to be going home within two or three weeks (depending on what the doctors want me to do.)
I am finally able to brush my own hair but still am having a little trouble in other areas, so we’ll see.
I got a pedicure and manicure last week, got my hair cut and colored yesterday, along with a little shopping at KOHL’S. So I’m about ready for my daughter and SIL to arrive tomorrow. (They think this up-coming Bday is ‘speshul’ for some reason!) ROTF!!!
My DIL made my Mexican chicken yesterday in the crockpot - and after simmering all day, we had a feast last night, with guacomole, salsa, my homemade pico de gallo, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion, black olives, sour cream and hot tortillas and crispy taco shells!
Here is the recipe if anyone is interested:
Mexican Chicken
3 boneless and skinless chicken breasts
1 packet of taco seasoning (mild)
3 small cans Rotel tomatos with green chili
Put in crockpot in the morning, let it cook all day on low, and shred the chicken an hour before serving, letting it soak up the flavorful juice. Serves at least ten if they don’t keep going back for seconds and thirds. LOL!

Well, gosh, I can't imagine why. ;-)
Sounds like you are doing pretty well. Shopping at Kohls, a mani, a pedi and a hair coif?...sounds like yorkie is definitely back in town! ;-)
Your progress report made me smile. I am so happy to know that you are making such good progress.
The last time you posted that recipe, I tried it. YES, it is great! You've made me hungry for it again. :-)
I hope you have a fabulous birthday....I am sure your family is going to see to it that you do. We are heading out of town for the weekend. Even though rain is forecast, it will still be nice to get away for a couple days. Take care, sistah!
That chicken sounds yummy. Gonna have to try it. (I have plenty of tums on hand...lol.)
Last night Linda wrote on the facbook page that my daughter setup for me the report about the pathology report coming back with no cancer.
My SIL wrote, “How do you click “Like” a million times?”
I’ve saved this recipe, Yorkie. Thank you for sharing.
