Walter Koenig owes his career to The Monkees. He was hired on Star Trek because he looked like one of the popular musicians. Or so said Roddenberry.

My sister just called me to tell me she heard about Davy’s death on the radio! (Where did I come looking for news?!...)

We were “in love” with The Monkees as kids! Watched their t.v. show every Thursday night on the snowy, black-and-white set at our grandmother’s house.

FINALLY, got to see them when we were in our mid-to-late 20s! That was a hoot!!

Thanks for the memories, Davy. Rest in peace...
