[ We have a market system in healthcare where innovation competes, but is hindered by entrenched interests that profit from existing arrangements. That is somewhat true in every business segment, but no where is it more true than in healthcare, where cures and innovation are critical, and where the big boys control the regulators and market access and stymie solutions. ]
And because the FDA exists it becomes easy to corrupt and use to squelsh competition.
“And because the FDA exists it becomes easy to corrupt and use to squelch competition.”
The free market is the cure all but it will never happen when politicians are owned, and lobbyists thrive, and the MSM always gets rewarded by both.
I personally believe we need a free market and a level of govt. regulation for trust and verify. I don’t trust the profit motive to create totally honest corporations in the short term. In the long term it will always catch up.
Just like real estate agents, they will represent only those who pay their bills. Regulators must be paid by the taxpayers, unless we choose not to have regulation or oversight. Voters need to have that choice, not owned politicians.
BTW corruption is embedded in both Parties. Both are owned and taxpayers are had, and America suffers.
Honesty and ethics can not be legislated but incentives can.
