I see this in people who I know are intelligent - I went to school with them.
Then they got the yoga bug....

Rejecting common sense is essential to New Age thought, since New Agers believe that their thoughts or “vibrations” can literally alter reality.
A skeptic like you could negatively affect your friend’s “energy,” so they would tend to avoid you.
