Think I remember in previous posts you work/have worked in the film industry. I have a question...

Don’t they have a technician(s) watching the actual TV broadcast in real time as the rest of the public? I expected the music accompanying Billy’s song to be adjusted lower after the first 15 seconds, but it never happened. Don’t they have someone watching a regular TV (what the public sees and hears) so they can make the necessary adjustments quickly?

I’ve never worked in the industry. I’ve never even been to California. I assume the director and engineers are in charge of how its mixed. Must have been a botch job based on comments.
