Like it or not, what Donald Trump says, does matter. Since he represents/reflects the moderate/independent America.

(Independent is not the correct term, where in reality, they are actually more disconnected/uninvolved)

If we even hope to come close to winning this election, we have to have a broad range of voter on our side. We can't do it with an extremely divisive morally superior Pat Robertson clone make that happen. That is for SURE!

Well, we certainly agree on that. Santorum definitely shouldn't be the nominee since we'd end up talking rubbers, birth control bills, porn and whether women should stay home and have more babies, etc - all massive election losers.

As you know I support Newt, and quite frankly I think he'd be far worse off with someone like Trump backing him. In my opinion Trump is a an absolute clown. He's not a conservative, he doesn't represent moderate/unaffiliated voters and "the Donald" is most associated right now with fringe birther issues. If Fox stopped putting him on the air like every 3rd hour (exaggeration maybe but it sure seems like it), no one would even pay attention to him anymore politically. I still can't figure out how a guy doing nothing but pimping his brand gets so much airtime.
