I thought that mosquitoes, ticks, rodents and jellyfish were all names for “progressives”.

Tunas, sharks, swordfish and some salmon eat jellyfish. People eat tuna, sharks and salmon. More jellyfish equals more tuna. I like tuna.

It was due to garbage articles like this that I was forced years ago to cancel my subscription to the once well-beloved Scientific American Alas, no more.

And a colder planet would be dominated by wolves and bears.

I used to like Scientific American. Now they’re just a leftist propaganda organ.

“Imagine a planet where jellyfish rule the seas, giant rodents roam the mountains and swarms of insects blur everything in sight.”

Sounds a lot better than my immigrant in-laws who are living with us. Where do I sign up?

I used to subscribe to Scientific American. Of course that was back when the magazine was about science.

I posted the following comment at SA about their BS article:

Well gee, if there was anything to this ridiculous assertion, then there should be tons of evidence of plagues of mosquitoes, ticks, rodents and jellyfish during the medieval warming period. Right? You know, the warmest global period in written history? That period when the Vikings spread their seed far and wide, even unto Greenland colonies (which then failed when the earth cooled a bit again). That period in which there was plenty to eat and mankind flourished more than before and after that warmth. Oh, and apparently mosquitoes, ticks, rodents and jellyfish flourished then too. Right?

“Scientific” American has obviously totally succumbed to the Progressive (Marxist) disease most other bird-cage-liner media have fallen prey too. Just like them, SA won’t be around too much longer, since now we have almost unlimited sources to discover the truth. Well, SA won’t be around in printed form, in which case they become just one more web site amongst billions. No big loss. Nothing at all scientific anymore about Scientific American. And not really American anymore either. “The magazine whose title is two lies in one” would be quite the accurate masthead these days, I think.

One generation ago, America’s education system was hijacked from the once world-leading system of scientific excellence, by the same education union bureaucracy which has demolished everything else excellent in American education.

The resulting mediocratic mush, ceased having even the capability of effectively deploying the actual scientific method, which had once lead to what had been American scientific leadership of the world.

“Scientists” promoted for being feminists or gay, were unable to invent the next actual scientific breakthrough, so they advanced their careers not by science, but by office politics.

Taking over.

Now, they’ve destroyed the host.

American science is nothing but a historical memory.

Liberals destroy everything they touch.

Hey girl, here’s to bumper crops. I plan on attempting a garden this year. But then, I plan on it every year. Never seem to get around to it though. It’s a bit harder to have a garden in a postage stamp size yard. Are you well?

I can’t speak to the jellyfish and the rodents, but if mosquitos become a problem, I’ll just call these guys:
