Coast To Coast has been filled with fascinating stuff for decades now: UFOs; alien abductions and invasions; Age of Aquarius predictions; alternative cures for everything under the sky; ghosts; ESP; Remote Viewing; End of World predictions; Atlantis discoveries; Martian civilization discoveries; Past Life memories; Future Life predictions; Time Travel speculations; Apocalyptic and Rhapsodic warnings; Epiphanies; High Colonics; High Priests of the Druid Rites; and, occasionally, something really weird.

Not one such postulation has been proven or predictive.

At least Art Bell had a great voice for radio, asked searching questions of the callers and guests, and connected with the tuned-in insomniacs inhabiting the profound silences between the words of his slow cadences. He was entertaining. He stirred the imagination. He understood the power of radio. His wonderful voice and mind, caught fleetingly on an AM car radio along an empty stretch of Arizona highway in the vast desert night, was capable of indelible memories. The show - as anything other than a clearinghouse for all-too-predictable craziness - died when he left.

Since Art is here in the Philippines, I sent a quick email
to say hello, as we are both old time ham operators, licensed
within a few months of each other.
He did send a simple two word thank you.

He was, at least, ahead of me in bagging a sweet young Philippine wife :)
