A weight lifting instructor was kidnapped in the North Caucasus republic of Dagestan and killed one of his kidnappers.

The two criminals went into the gym of the instructor, handcuffed him to a radiator in the basement and demanded a ransom of $66,000 (2 million rubles).

When the criminals decided to leave the next morning and left a gun on a nearby table. The weight lifting instructor broke free from the handcuffs and shot one of the kidnappers.

The other one fled and is now on the wanted list. Luckily, the instructor got out of this situation alive.

He is also unlikely to be penalized for killing one of the abductors. Based on the situation, it is considered self-defense.

Years ago a friend of mine got robbed in a motel in South Carolina. They tied him to a chair. He was really big and broke the chair apart, beat the bejeezus out of one of the guys and got away.

Whenever this type of scenario comes up in some movie, I always think, sheesh, lousy script, no one is that stupid.

Apparently some are.

It would be truly ironic if he picked up a piece of the chair to beat him with :)

“”He is also unlikely to be penalized for killing one of the abductors.””

Unlikely? Does this mean he can still be charged? Let this be a lesson to not kill your kidnapper or we will prosecute you!

He might have, although he was more of a “hands on” kind of guy.
