Like i said, i just have never lived anywhere where there weren’t a fair number of Catholics. Seems everyone would KNOW a catholic and know when ash weds rolls around what the deal is. I suppose it isn’t out of the question in parts of the country where there aren’t Catholics and i guess UTAH and BYU might not have many.
prob not!!
Anyone watch last night? How did Santorum do? Wish they had youtube vids highlighting all the candidates.
i didn’t watch but i think from what i gathered from twitter than Santorum didn’t do great. but then i can’t recall who was saying that and everyone’s biases color their perceptions. we vote on Super Tuesday and i have no idea who i will vote for at this juncture.
BTW, you have today’s word listed as an adverb, it is also an adjective.
So last time I was laying there with Sick Bear I realized all I've really created is a freakin' germ sponge that we pass from family member to family member. This was not well-thought out of me.
I thought Gingrich and Santorum didn’t get on the VA ballot. That should help your decision.
(Honestly, with Santorum we’re in the same position we were a year ago: even with a hint of him being the nominee the media are going ballistic on him. He will never escape answering questions on birth control, homosexuals, etc. He’s good to put a scare into Romney, but I just don’t see any other alternative. )
i'm not sure i believe that, but, will take your word for it ; )
I do cling to a pillow.
i am so done and over this painful process. just pick someone and be DONE with it, and then give it our absolute best shot to unseating the Kenyan. but i just can’t even cope with the BS of it all anymore.
That’s why it is posted as both. ;)
I wish Rick had the killer instinct that Newt has and could zero in on the issues in a concise manner.
oh, there is the adjective......missed it.
as the paralegal in my ofc put it, if you could just build a candidate taking the best parts of each of them and leaving behind the bad parts, we might have a shot.
I only see Newt as winning.....however, in all honesty, I do not think my dem driver would vote for Newt. The other night he raved about how awful Obama is.....and I do mean he shouted us all down to demand the floor and get it all out in a long rant. However, he has gone off on Newt before...but he didn’t shout his disdain.
I have to agree with her/him there. Newt’s debating skills and intelligence, Rick’s morals and steadiness, Romney’s war chest of unlimited money.....there would be no doubt of a win for us.
would he be able to stomach voting for Romney?
He seems to really like Santorum and started his hints he would vote pubbie when Rick started to soar. Romney would be ok as well, but his wife hates Newt. She will be the deciding factor. She was a local election supervisor and a huge dem. Really nice lady, but definitely a hopeless dem. She and I are on are on a banquet committee together. Both are Catholics, and she used to teach art in our parochial school, back when my boys went there. I have known them forever. Nice people.
Newt has haters, no way around that. The calculus has to be who would bring in enough republicans AND independents, and the more right-leaning dems.
