I have tried several different belts and holsters and did not like any of them for conceal carry. I like a large weapon and carry a 1911 45ACP or 9mm Browning Parabellum. None of the holster or belts did the trick for me.

I carry in a shoulder bag that looks like a camera bag. It has a quick opening zipper and the weapon is in a nylon web with a second mag. It is easy to get to and comfortable. If I liked smaller weapons I would probably use something else.

I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of my 5.11 belts. They used to be great for flying, since they have no metal parts I could just wear it through the detector. Now they make you take off your belt anyway.

For leather belts I really like Duluth Trading Company, and if price is no limit: Saddleback Leather. They’ve got no peer.

If I’m carrying a small pistol I like a little universal IWB holster in the small of my back. But when I can I really prefer to carry my full size Sig in a Jackass (r) shoulder rig. Now they’re owned by Galco. By far the most comfortable shoulder rig I’ve ever had.

Went with the 5.11 trainer for now. Found it on sale and was able to try on in person. Will probably go to beltman in a couple months.
