Worked in the area in the early ‘70s. Problem was getting served and back to work in an hour. Long lines!

LA is rapidly fading from my memory, but I can vaguely recall working downtown and having to hike half a block out of the building, two blocks to the parking garage, get into my car, go somewhere and stand in line to get food, do all the above in reverse, all in an hour.

There are some things I miss about LA. That’s not one of them. One of the first things I learned when I moved to Oklahoma, was that you can park right in front of things. Really. RIGHT in front. As in park, step out of car, and walk ten feet to door. It’s been nine years, and I’m still not completely used to that.

Of course, in LA’s defense, it’s not anywhere near as interesting when you get there. LOL!
