You don’t know anything about Governor Palin’s 20 year political career?
Her reputation for being a giant killer and a reformer that took on both parties in Alaska and while creating many political enemies she beat the entrenched corrupt machines.
While doing that Palin became the most popular governor in America, perhaps in history, consistently in the low to high 80%, and even 93%, approval.
Palin was not known for being a religious figure, she was known for being a political master and reformer.
I’m aware of her history.
But I’m asking what her Presidential platform would be.
I don’t know what that would be, and I don’t know if I’ll be finding much of that out if a rabbit gets pulled out of a hat and Palin somehow wins the nomination.
The beauty of a Primary is that we get to learn all about what the candidate believes and supports and what their plans are. You’re assuming here that she’s going to be the super candidate, but what is she going to promote? A flat tax? Is she in favor of privatizing social security? How would she handle medicare?
Are we just going to have faith that she’s going to have good ideas? What if her platform is exactly like Romney’s, but without the baggage on Romneycare? Are we just going to assume that she’ll be our Messiah when she didn’t even campaign for the nomination and yet wins the nomination?
I’m opposed to it utterly. It basically means that all of our efforts, all of our input, all of our campaigning on behalf of the candidates who DID RUN would basically mean absolutely nothing at all. And the decision as to who will be the nominee will be left to a bunch of delegates who I don’t know and didn’t really have much input in selecting.
