Why does she try to infiltrate flocks of wild turkeys? They look sort of big for a cat to tangle with. Don’t they try to defend their younguns?
Trying to get to a chick, when they’re from about the size of a quail, up to about a grouse. Yes they defend them, but hope springs eternal. She does manage to get well inside the fringes of a flock, but always ends up with an adult attacking her before she can get close enough to the chicks.
It is hilarious to watch her mimicking their pecking: “nothing to worry about, ladies; I’m just interested in this corn...”.
