I listened to the audio book and I did not know about the 13th hand.
Bradley did a masterful job of telling the history and aftermath of that iconic day. I highly recommend it.
I am truly sorry if the ‘13th’ hand is false. I should have done some research before posting - but the friend who emailed the essay is a trusted veteran.
Will check it further.
