The college educated bureaucrat complex (a mixture of business and governmental middle and upper managers) are extremely prone to FADs. There were ‘Pyridine Shifts’, ‘TEAMS’, Synergies, 6-Sigma, Just in time, Doing more with less and of course Outsourcing. All have been failures in one way or another. But the FAD was bought into and the cost is a burdened economy.
