I think he was a good guy, but totally dislike how he treated general MacArthur.(my dad wasn’t even alive back then, so I don’t even pretend to know the situation of the time)

Dugout Doug got what he deserved. Whether you like him or not, don't disrespect your CINC. My dad figured he was alive at the time because of Harry S and never much liked MacArthur when he was in the Philippines.
