I can’t recall the last time
I didn’t want to verbally hammer
Some talking head or “celebrity”
For their lamentably poor grammar
Now, cacography is so accepted
That some think it is cute-
But when I hear it on TV
I push the button that says “mute”
And when I read, I want to see
Proper spelling and grammar used-
I’m one of those tired of seeing
The English language being abused
I must go out in the woods, drag deadfalls down to the driveway and cut them up to burn in the fireplace tonight.
A+ for you. I also stop listening when they do not communicate correctly. My family has heard me talking back to the TV and reminded me that they can’t hear me.
