Actually they do all the time. If they come in and smell/lick the lips of 1, that is submission to that animal. The dominant (or at least recipient) animal accepts that, unless he really has a problem with that individual.

Her move was a quick in your face move that she thought was a sweet gesture, and a dog would not. I meant that it was just the opposite in dog language moves. If I did a poor job at describing the action, I apologize; but I still believe dogs have better protocol amongst themselves than this human did with this dog.
