Waiting on Colorado. A trifecta would be so good.

All I heard today was how Team Romney was trying to “tamp down expectations.”

Geez I wonder why? LOL!

As soon as Romney
Is not “inevitable”
He sinks like a stone.

Fill in the blank: I am eager to vote for Romney because he is “_____________”.

If you can’t fill in “electable”, what other reason is there?

Nothing is inevitable but death and taxes. Romney can be beaten if conservatives care enough to make it happen.

I’d say he is the conservative alternative. I also wonder to what extent has the fight that Obama picked with the Catholic Church helped Santorum.

I'm still for Newt. I don't think Santorum has enough personal charisma and new ideas to beat Obama. But if push comes to shove Id vote for Rick but I'll never vote for Romney

Santorum v. Obama -- an openly religious man v. aging 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats and their ideological issue (that include Obama).

How about that!

The Marxist-Alinsky brats have already declared war on Christians.

This would make a very interesting campaign and one that I personally don't see how Obama can win if freedom is an issue.

I’ve not been a huge fan of Santorum, but have been impressed with his last couple of debate performances, and am really pleased with his comments tonight. I like how he’s really taking it to Obama, and calling Romney “Obama-lite” and “dead wrong”. If he can coalesce the conservative and Tea Party vote, and present a viable (i.e. less baggage than Newt) option that Independents and fed-up Democrats can support, I can sure go with Santorum.

B-b-ut, what about Mitt?
Hasn’t the Democrat “mainstream” media told us relentlessly for about a year that Mittens is the “frontrunner” even after he lost Iowa and South Carolina?

Since Cain and Bachmann dropped I have been in the anybody but Romney camp. I met Santorum during his first run for Senate and always liked him as our Senator when I lived in PA. There is no fraud in him - he is the real deal.

The Spector endorsement was disappointing but understandable. That was about maintaining control over the Senate rather then agreement on policy (Bush endorsed as well). I was a huge Toomey fan, but no way he would have won in PA in 2004. One needs only to look at 2006 to understand the trends (one of the reasons we fled the Northeast for GA).

Santorum is a blue collar / big government guy. His roots are in Western PA where manufacturing is a big part of the economy. He has his flaws, but maybe he is the most Conservative candidate who can win?

I would have preferred Herman Cain. He had a lousy campaign staff, but the man would have been a great leader. Gingrich is the ideas man, and a true Conservative as well. The problem with Gingrich, fair or not, is that his negatives are through the roof.

Maybe it is time for compromise. Santorum may be the best candidate who can knock off Romney and beat Obama. He is not my first, second or even third choice, but he is a good choice. Thoughts?
