Catholics have consistently followed Christ’s own plan that men formally lead the Church (and the family), and that women lead in informal ways.
Mothers and other women know full well the power they have as informal leaders.
Some of the strongest women in history have been Catholic sisters (often called nuns), who have run convents, monasteries, hospitals, colleges, missions and other great institutions.
For all the things it gets wrong, one thing the RCC gets right is no women in the pulpit. The Bible is clear on this. Of course, most conservative, Evangelical groups get this right as well.
