Let me be perfectly clear: if he were half the conservative he claims to be, he would likely be the preferred candidate on this entire forum. It is totally fine for you to support him of course.
However, the notion that he is above the fray is simply false. The notion that he is the “true conservative” is totally false. The notion that he is not trashing other Republicans is totally false.
Support him if you want. I will help correct the record on him however. If he were who he claims to be, I would be a support of his. But he is not, and I ma not .

Since I believe all conservatism flows from social conservatism as it delineates the difference between right and wrong, I support the most socially conservative candidate in the field. That would be Rick Santorum.
