We are talking globally here.

It almost seeems like the global temp is corrolated inversly with the location where I live.

Now the global temp according to the same satellite has risen sharply, whilst here we have gotten the first real cold of this winter.

Anyhow, an increase of 0.2 degrees it way way to small to be noticable in the noice anyhow.

In other words for practical purposes it is the same as in 1980. Pretty much.

OK, so what’s with the reversal of the seasonality of the temps with increasing altitude?

Right now the globe is colder then normal. Only the central US and Eastern US has been warmer then normal recently. And some speculate that was simply due to Jet Stream pattern changes caused by the stronger solar activity we have had recently. That activity is on a downward trend right now and solar activity is currently just a little above average. It has been on a downward trend the past few days.
