As a Texan and an Aggie, I have to admit I would have chose Palin over Perry because I feel her “walk” as governor of Alaska matched Perry’s campaign “talk” about cleaning up corruption in government.
Even though I thought Palin would better represent TEA party conservative values than Perry, Perry would be a vastly superior conservative president than Romney.
All I can do is pray that the establishment hack the Going On Progressive party nominates (Romney) will operate like Perry as far business and economics are concerned (if he becomes president).
This country needs to have its entire economy running like Texas, but I do just not see that happening with Romney.
Gingrich is smart enough to do the right thing, but it seems the establishment/media have already selected their GOP candidate Romney.
That is no surprise since Romney is nothing more than Obama lite.
I agree with what you stated.
I went to West Texas State, now part of the A&M System. But I grew up in Haskell County 14 miles from the Perrys.
I stated from the beginning that I preferred Rick Perry remain Governor of Texas.
The sad thing is that the selection of the President should be more about who he would bring to Washington with him than about the actual candidate. The impact of that is far more important. But the selection of the candidate dictates who he selects for support.
Imagine one man trying to move 1,000 head of cattle. It requires lots of support and coordination.
